How to access the government's free digital antenna kit

How can I obtain a digital antenna free of charge from the government?

We identified the possibility of obtaining a free digital antenna through federal government initiatives. Now, the crucial point is to determine your eligibility and, if applicable, the steps necessary to schedule the kit installation by a specialized technician in your home.

What are the criteria for ordering the kit?

The kit is provided by the government only to low-income families registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico), which is the database that contains information on low-income families in Brazil for inclusion in social programs.

To obtain the kit free of charge, registered families must meet the following criteria:

  • Maximum monthly income of three minimum wages;
  • Live in localities with a population of more than 500 thousand inhabitants;
  • Have a conventional satellite dish in use and working.

If you are not yet registered in the Single Registry, below you will find instructions for registering.

Approximately 20 million homes watch free, free-to-air TV via satellite. Of these, 10.5 million are registered with CadÚnico and are therefore eligible to receive the kit free of charge.

Households that already have an external digital fishbone antenna or an internal digital antenna do not need to replace them, as these models are not affected by 5G interference. The same applies to those who have cable TV services, as the signal transmitted via cables is also not impacted.

How do I order the government's free digital antenna kit?

The process for ordering and installing the digital antenna is straightforward and free. The family must pre-register on the website Follow Antenado or call 0800 729 2404, which is open from Monday to Saturday, from 8am to 8pm, free of charge.

At the time of pre-registration, it is necessary to provide the CPF or NIS of a family member and ensure that all criteria are met. If approved, a technician will contact you to schedule the visit and install the kit free of charge.

The technical visit, which lasts an average of one hour, includes the complete installation of the antenna and digital converter. The technician will also provide instructions on how to care for the equipment and will properly dispose of the old antenna.

With the converter correctly installed, the home will be able to enjoy a high definition audio and video experience on open television, without the risk of losing the signal with the arrival of 5G technology.

How to register with CadÚnico

Registration is carried out in person at service centers. There are two options to start the process: pre-register through the app or go directly to a registration center.

Pre-registration can be done free of charge using the “Cadastro Único” app, which is available for download from the Google Play and App Store stores.

To register in person, you must visit a service point in your city. The Family Responsible must go to a Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) or a CadÚnico post with the documents of all family members.

The documents required for registration include:

  • For the Person Responsible for the Family: CPF or Voter ID and a document with photo (RG, CNH, passport, etc.);
  • For other family members: CPF or Birth Certificate, preferably;
  • An updated proof of residence (electricity, water, telephone bill, etc.).

Once registered with CadÚnico, check if you meet all the criteria and order your digital antenna completely free! After installation, just enjoy the superior image and sound quality with your whole family.
